Our Junior Intern Summer Program

We Watch, Because We Care!

At Watchdog, we are all animal lovers but we also really care about kids too! So why not have a junior intern program that can benefit both animals and kids. I'm happy to announce this is the first year of our Junior Intern Summer Program and hopefully a start to an annual program to train interested and loving kids about caring for animals other than their own. Throughout the summer, these two young people will visit our clients homes with our professional pet sitters to assist them and learn about different pets and how to care for them. Of course, we'll fit in a little play and cuddle time too!

I’ve worked with animals my whole life as I've always had a pet in my life: fish, dogs, and a cat. I even took care of two puppies our family fostered. I like how every animal has different traits and personalities. I like that because all animals aren’t the same. I like that some are silly, playful, and always happy. My favorite things to do with animals are play and cuddle with them. When I have my uncle’s dogs over, they love to catch and play with tennis balls outside. I also make beds for them so they can sleep comfortably. In college, I want to be a pet sitter because I will get to interact with and take care of pets all the time.

I love pets like dogs, cats and fish. When I was born, I grew up with a dog. His name was Boss and he was a large Rottweiler. He was always so sweet with me and always protected me. It's been almost 2 years since he passed away but I still miss him every day. I love dogs and I will never stop. Some people think certain breeds of dogs are bad, but I believe all animals deserve a second chance. Get to know one and he or she will probably be your best friend!
